Research interests

At the core of my research interests is the desire to create a sustainable, healthy future for all. From investigating sustainable polymer blends, to wastewater remediation using modified textiles to removing heavy metals, to membranes that better separate blends of gases for CO2 separation, my publication record reflects that work I've done to advance science for fighting climate change and our impact on the planet across different fields.

My current research at Apeel Labs (the R&D arm of Apeel Sciences) is focused on biomimetic solutions to many of the problems that the world faces beyond our core product – a bioderived, edible coating that can extend the shelf life of produce.
