About me

I am a senior scientist at Apeel Labs, the R&D arm of Apeel Sciences. I work on frontier projects that fit with Apeel's mission to create an abundant future for all, as well as create new ways to optimize the performance of our current formulation.

My research and work is greater than what goes on here in the labs at Apeel. I'm interested in science policy, equity and diversity in STEM, and thinking about the bigger picture in all things science and art.

Research Interests

Inorganic-organic hybrid materials

Check out my review highlighting the current state of research and the applications of vapor phase infiltration into polymer substrates

Materials for environmental applications

In my most recent collaboration, we created membranes that more efficiently separate CO2 from mixed gas streams that any previous reported value, having permeabilities and selectivities above Robeson's upper bound

Copolymers and polymer blends

Check out this paper where we investigated the molecular dynamics of isotactic polypropylene with varying concentrations of thermoplastic starch
